[Everyone has their own affairs to attend to, of course, and aligning twenty people's schedules is a challenge on the best of days. It's hard to get the family that saved Sinnoh and the rest of the world with it all together—but an anniversary is a perfect excuse.

Emmeryn hosts; she's made quite a home for herself in Floaroma, and there's space to sleep over for anyone unprepared to nyoom back from whence they came right away. It's snowing out, lightly enough not to be any more than a mild inconvenience, since it sticks enough to play in. If the Pokémon left in Emmeryn's care aren't out in her yard doing just that, they're probably inside being babied, wrapped up in blankets and the scarves Emmeryn gets every time Camilla visits.

There's food and an almost aggressive amount of hot beverages, and it's a bit crowded inside but it's cozy. It's a day worth commemorating, but mostly it's just nice to be together.]

Yeah, that's about it. I had to have it custom-made, since we don't really have anything to do with this universe normally. Took a while, it was pretty complicated.

[Apparently, at least. He wasn't that involved, he's not an engineer.]

You can't just throw something together, huh? Guess it's just like regular portals after all.

Yeah, I guess. Portals within the same universe and plane are a lot easier - interdimensional ones like this are a lot less common, much more work.

I bet. I guess I just thought if something was magic, then you could just do whatever without thinking about it.

That's how it works in the afterlife. Reality's much more malleable there. But once you start connecting to other planes, you do have to worry about physics a little bit.

Sounds a little hard to deal with, especially with everything you had to say about human bodies and stuff.

Yeah. Well, humans really shouldn't use those portals anyway. It's a little bit fatal.
