[Mae, despite her best efforts, has more or less been the personification of the (unsure) emote for a good twenty minutes now.
Marisa arrived on Novis long enough ago that Mae has well worked herself past the whole witch thing, so it isn't like it's a matter of trust. The thought of Marisa suddenly bursting out into wild cackles and then pushing Mae into the ocean mid-flight only occurred to Mae when Marisa mentioned it, grinning ear to ear and acting so theatrically malicious that Mae laughed so hard milk came out her nose. It's just that—well, the sea goes on an awfully long way. And Marisa showed up at the Novis priory in an explosion requiring a month's worth of repairs to the priory's back wall. And she hasn't really skimped on the explosions since. And—that's maybe the problem at present but it isn't a problem, it could not be less of a problem, nothing makes Mae's face light up like she's trying to match all the bursting magic from the way her spells follow Marisa's in the back reaches of the island where they can afford to practice bombastically.
But, like. While they're stand against the rail of the priory's highest balcony, not quite overlooking the sea but close enough to hear the waves, Mae, despite not having much in the way of phobias herself, remembers why humans are sort of supposed to be hardwired with a healthy fear of heights.]
So, like. You're suuuure we're gonna be safe, even with two of us?
Sure! I've given rides before, ze. Unless you don't trust the broom and just wanna hop on my back.
[ Is that a joke? IT VERY WELL MAY NOT BE, CONSIDERING WHO IT'S COMING FROM.
Marisa flies just about everywhere, so she finds it a little strange Mae is so averse to it...it's like walking, you never forget! She's been flying since she was seven! She's got this, fam. ]
[like...mae's small, marisa probably could carry her, but that sounds like a recipe for disaster.]
All right, okay. It's fine, I trust you. [She hops up and down in place a little, lightly slaps her cheeks with her hands a few times, papapapat.] Let's go, ready when you are!
