voicetest open call!
Help me voicetest some ladies! Each girl has a brief description and then just a note about my preferences for scenarios with them; if you aren't up for writing a starter, please go ahead and just give me a vague idea of what you're looking for setting- and situation-wise, and I'll take care of it!
No smut, and no shipping for now while I get a handle on things, and maybe check in with me first about anything especially emotionally charged?
the rescue hero-in-training, Uravity! optimistic and energetic, a little over-the-top theatrical but always friendly and incredibly supportive. her power is making things, including herself, float by touching them with the pads of all five fingers on her hand.
my preference is for canon settings, with or without tying to the main plot. jamjars are fine too but i'd rather not au ochako into another setting! any chance for her to show off her powers would be swell, whether it's a team-up, rescue, or mentoring scenario, but day-to-day school life would also be cute!
the ever-dramatic, over-the-top chosen heroine of the dusk! gives things stupid names and divines fortunes with gemstones and the stars—it's all pretty dumb and she's a huge weirdo, and she's aware of how she comes across, but life is way more fun when you see it through sparkly glasses. wants to be something and someone special, she's just taken it to...a very verbose extreme......
god please don't make me pretend to understand the plot of Fates; self-contained canon scenarios or jamjar settings, vague or otherwise, would be ideal!
stupid bad garbage girl. rude murder lady. the worst. bratty teenage girl with a horrific amount of pride, admittedly not entirely unfounded; she's been groomed to be an assassin since childhood and she knows that trash gets disposed of, so she's determined to keep her spot among the best. all her haughtiness covers up an immense fear of failure. secretly longs for family; is super tsun about it.
canon does not allow a whole lot of places for other scenarios to come in with clarisse so jamjar stuff would be ideal! mostly i'm trying to get myself a sample thread and some voicetesting in before cartesio tbh so a murdergame setting might be good? we can even just snag cartesio's setting wholesale tbh idc. would prefer not to assume cr too heavily with her because of just How She Is, but we can assume some awareness or acquaintanceship with each other rather than complete strangers for sure
MAIDEN OF THE DUSK
She's [redacted teen age] and is a grandma. Holy shit.
Like, she probably shouldn't be surprised that Owain went to another dimension, got married, and produced a mini-Lissa after everything that's happened, but still. ]
Oh my gosh, this is so...exciting! You have to tell me all about you! What do you do for fun? Oh, you're a dark mage, right? Do you make your own spells?
garbage murder girl
Azura's not used to work like this, even if she is a fighter. She's mastered the art of stabbing people with lances with her skirts around her ankles and her hair in her face, but this is...hm. She's tied up her hair in a bun and fixed her skirt up around her knees, but she still looks hilariously out of place digging through a pile of rusted knives. ]
...why have so many people thrown out their knives?
[ said with a sigh. she means it more in a THAT IS DANGEROUS way but knowing Clarisse........ ]

While she would send hired hands out to do this kind of work if she had her way at all, a job is a job, and here she has to prove her worth from zero again. She moves easily enough through the junkyard, frighteningly quiet, undisturbed even by her hair falling about her face. Not for the first time, she picks up a knife, spins it in her hand by the handle and holds the blade up to the sunlight.]
This one's useless. [She sneers, scoffs at the back of her throat like it's personally let her down.] I'm pretty sure they all are. You couldn't cut through cloth with this.
no subject
It's strange that they seem to be the only kind of utensils out here. Among all of the bigger scrap, I mean.
[ Azura picks one up and surveys the blade. Rusted, dull. She sets it in a nearby bucket, blade down. ]
no subject
[If Clarisse were a shitty nineties teenager, there might be a duh at the end of that sentence.]
no subject
That's not what I meant.
[ But whatever, she's not up for getting in an argument with Murdergirl McGee, so Azura drops it.
Then she holds up what is probably a broken radio battery. ]
Does this look like it could be a "muffler"?
[ Scavenger hunts suck when you're Ye Olde and don't know what half the items are. ]
no subject
Ugh, I guess? I don't know, just take it.
[who does she think she is, she doesn't know what a muffler is either???]
no subject
Maybe they'll accept it if it just looks like a muffler. [ She tucks the radio into her bag. ] Honestly, what were they thinking sending us to do this task?
[ the two Ye Oldes. god. ]
no subject
[Too useless for someone like her, but the junk under her foot makes a sharp noise when she stomps hard up a pile of scrap.]
Whatever. I'm still not going to mess it up. Take it and we'll keep looking.
no subject
[ (SHE HOPES YOUR BOOTS ARE THICK ENOUGH TO STAND SHARP METAL GOING THROUGH THEM, TOO, HER PARTNER IS NOT GETTING TETANUS)
"it had better be worth it" in slightly politer words
Azura nods. Let's see, a muffler, a muffler... ]
no subject
really if she's getting tetanus from anything it's all the rusty knives she keeps picking up, one after the other, holding up to squint at the reflection of the sunlight before she makes a soft noise of disgust and tosses it aside.]
Useless... [Then, more audibly:] Hey, we're taking this too.
[She's holding—it's some kind of car part, fuck if i know anything about cars i don't know use your imagination, but not a muffler.]
no subject
Alright.
[ She's looking ahead, ready to take the part and put it into her bag, but the piece of rubble Clarisse steps on sends a cascade of smaller pieces rolling down the hill of scrap. ]
no subject
[Clarisse does stumble, but she has recovered from worse than this, and it takes one hard stomp and a moment of crunching her boots into the junk to stabilize herself but she manages it, if barely. She gives a little gasp and a hard breath through her teeth before turning back around to Azura.]
Watch it!
[she means that in a scolding way, as if this isn't her fault??? but it doubles nicely as a warning not to get hit by oncoming scrap junk, probably...]
no subject
It wasn't me.
[ CLARISSE SHE IS JUST DUTIFULLY JUST FOLLOWING BEHIND YOU, COME ON ]
no subject
[it's...almost a check-in on her well-being......but god she sounds so CONDESCENDING about it]
no subject
No, the slide petered out, I'm fine.
[ ... ]
Perhaps we should both watch our step more carefully?
[ said as delicately as possible ]
no subject
[thanks, clarisse]
Whatever. Take this.
[she will take NO BLAME!!!]
no subject
Ah, is that all...
[ thanks, clarisse ]
no subject
but she doesn't immediately march up the mound of garbage again, instead waiting with her hands on her hips for Azura to catch up so she doesn't end up kicking garbage back at her again.]
